When you click on any one of the item images, the image doesn't show on the item page even though in the 'Display Settings' for the root Category I have the 'Item Image Options' image set to show. I would like the item images to show when you click on them. Additionally, when they are showing in the tabs I would like the 'intro text' to show and a more link to go into the item. I have done this on another site where I am using a JB template and things are working fine. This is the site: https://www.tellannie.com. How the items on this site look in the tabs is what I want for the product adviser site.

I got most of it working. It's just the 'more' link, not showing and the background for the text is white, I'd like it to be the same color as the title, brown. The text is also kind of close to the edge so I may need some padding.

Try add this to custom.css file :

With this layout the readmore is the plus symbol so it is displaying over the top of the image when hovered

Yes, still having an issue with this. None of the images are showing when you click on the item to get details.

For images you need to either change the template layout used or alter the structure of the content e.g. using intro text rather than item image
I've changed the amazon category to featured to display an image
Does the 'Featured' affect anything else? Cause I'll do that for all. Don't want anything else to break though.
I don't think so - I would test it with adding a sidebar module to check the layout works ok for you
