A couple days ago we launched a small political site for a niche candidate, built over JB ZenGrid Framework, and incorporating some finds picked out of the JA, GK, and iJoomla toolboxes. It took about 24 hours to reach page one of Google on a number of typical organic searches, and we instantly upped the page traffic by a factor of 10 over the previous Wix site. There is no substitute for having professional tools to build with.

    Hi Mike,

Nice one - hopefully more people over time will realise that wix has some pretty big limitations

Thanks again for posting - always appreciated seeing nice finished sites 🙂

    Cheers
    Paul

With the site I'd perhaps suggest changing the page display tab to reflect he is a democratic candidate?
      rather than just
      Platta!

      Do you think?

      Cheers

paulus1031 He's actually an independent, single issue candidate. He's technically on the republican ballot, but he's not running as a republican - only on his one issue. there are some other filler issues, but basically, his district is an odd amalgam of residential, single- and two-family home neighborhoods in a NYC borough of higher-density, middle-income (for now) housing; the mayor of NYC wants to dump some big-city problems into this small city enclave.

ah ok I can see why that might be problem to include given the news about Trump we see most days over here

I'd perhaps suggest some keywords about his district maybe and a word like election or something along these lines

I'm sure linking his name to relevant keywords would help

        Cheers

This is probably not the right forum for this question, but I have a client who moved to Wix, and I'd like to get them back. You mentioned limitations with Wix, could you elaborate (as I know nothing about Wix) so I can put a case to them to return.
Perhaps we can cover this elsewhere, if you prefer.

Commenting on Wix is a bit tricky as I've not really used it but here are some comments I've received from previous members threads

You can’t access your site’s HTML code.
So can’t edit the html. You can’t download it. You can’t keep a backup copy of the site, or export it to another platform.
Don't own the site it is just rented
Can't change template easily or at all I think
Rely on their support which is patchy
        problems with blogging sites
problems with updates via tablets or phone
Fundementally wix users may lack the knowledge about getting their website found and optimised e.g. they lose sales
        Problems with restaurant sites
