Articles not opened in a brain new page

Hi all,
i have a very strange problem. I installed the "quickstart" website successfully and began to work on it. Without changing anything, when i click on articles in "featured videos" (https://static.joomlart.com/images/userguide/ja_templates/ja-moviemax/featured-videos.jpg) displayed in the "Featured News". Dos anyone could help me to display "Featured Videos articles" in a brain new page like other articles ? Thank you for your help and have a nice day !

Your Menu item Video list type was missing the Movie layout in Blog layout tab , i corrected it and now it is working fine

Hi pavit,
thank you for your reply, but you did not resolve my problem. In fact, you've changed the initial category (mine is "Freeware" wich is parent of "Bons Plans" not parent of "News"). Since a few days ago, evrything was working pretty well i don't understand what happened. Si i switched to the right category and if you try to connect to my website, you will see what i mean and the right articles from the right category displayed. My Menu item Video list type is "Movie layout" in blog layout tab. Thank you for your help.

1 ) Edit your menu item Movie list type named News
2 ) Change category selected from News to your Freeware category
3) Clean your cache
4) Open your video articles in home page and you will see they open correctly on a new page

So you will need to create a new menu item as Movie list and add to it your freeware category

Hi pavit, and thank you for your help but if you check this link here, click on the "12 angry Men" article in the "videos articles". You will see that it will be displayed in another page.

If you do the same on the article called "Why So Serious" for example in the "featured news" section, you will see that it will be displayed also in another page (not in the Homepage).

On my website, if i change category selected from News to your Freeware category, only articles from freeware category will be displayed in another page and without the same layout on your demo site. And unfortunatly, articles published in "Featured News" will be displayed within the Homepage.

Your demo site is for me the "right behavior" for articles and layout. I used many joomla's templates in my life, this is the first time I have so much trouble with a template ... 🙁

Let me do another attempt

I created a new menu item named Bon Plans ( that is a category where freeware articles are inside )

as you can see now all is opening on a new page and not on home page

In joomla each content to be published on a new page should belong to a menu item.

Hope i cleared this.

Module content needs a menu link on the system it can be an article or a category link without that Joomla will reload the the default itemid which is normally the home page

Ok now i understand what you mean. Last detail: how is it possible to display the same layout (like this: https://static.joomlart.com/images/userguide/ja_templates/ja-moviemax/movies-detail.jpg) for my articles in the menu item "Bons plans" (the article layout is on "movie" but the layout is not like your demo website ) ? Thanks a lot for you precious help.

Hi pavit, that's what i did, but how do you explain that "extra fields" Tab is missing in the backend but not when i edit my article from the frontend (always with the superuser account of course)? I'm going crazy with this template ... 🙁

I still configured the extra fields for Movies category, but here is a screen capture of my backend:

You do not need to configure it for movie , it is already done via file in com_content file

I looked at your article "-60% chez Diginoiz" for example and it is showing correctly extra fields tab

I used also Firefox other than Chrome and results are the same.

It is not related to browser type anyway, but maybe to the cache.
