I have a Zentools2 module that is pulling content from EasyBlog but is pulling content from too many categories. I have selected one category and also want to have it show from the child categories but there should currently only be two items displaying. Instead there are a lot of items displayins.

https://www.drcarney.com/shop/amazon-storefront/books

Only the two books should be displaying in the right hand column module titled "Amazon Books". Thanks for looking into this.

Also, I discovered that this is happening now in all of my Zentools2 modules on the site. I think it may have to do with the fix to Zentools2 that was just made for my other ticket located at https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/6503-zentools2-modules-providing-errors-if-the-parent-category-has-no-items-in-it

At this point my site is very broken. This is my live site but you certainly have my permission to make any fix here necessary to repair this.

scarney Another example of the same problem is at the following page where only people's names are supposed to be listed in the module in sidebar-2 labeled 'People'.

I have a LOT of similar modules on this site using Zentools2 in the sidebar-2 position.

OK. I am going to change the credentials for you to login to fix the test site and I will try to reverse this changes to my life site until we get it working correctly. So, this should be fixed at dev1.carneycorner.com

I tried to change my live site back to what it was before but it did not work. So, right now both the test site at dev1.carneycorner.com and the real site at www.drcarney.com are BROKEN.
So, I will be really grateful for a solution. Mostly it is the new ticket that we have to pay attention to I believe.

The credentials above are for the development site. But, as soon as you get it fixed I will make the changes to the live site. Since Zentools2 is seriously broken there I may need to turn off Zentools2 modules completely on the live site. Either that or leave it broken and hope nobody notices.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Sean

    Hi Sean,

Can you point me to the ticket number this will be the easiest way to chase this up

The developer unfortunately won't be online probably till monday unfortunately

    Cheers
    Paul

sorry Sean - I was a bit confused there - this is our portal system e.g. a forum.
We do also have a ticket system which the old Joomlabamboo lifetime users can access and thought you were using that as well

    Cheers

My test site and live site are still really broken using the ZenTools2 module to display EasyBlog items based on EasyBlog categories. I have a bunch of pages that appear to be attempting to display all of the EasyBlog items as opposed to just the ones belonging to a specific category.

For example our Books of Interest page is now listing many many items that are not books:
    https://www.drcarney.com/help/information/books-of-interest

I sure hope this can be resolved soon. It is very embarassing.

    Thanks, Sean

    Hi Sean,

I'm really sorry this hasn't been sorted for you

Can you create a ticket pointing to this thread including all the access details for the site
e.g. superadmin access and ftp details

Apologies again for the delay on a solution

    Cheers
    Paul

Where do you want me to create a ticket. I thought that this new forum is where I was supposed to be creating all support requests? Are you wanting me to create a ticket using the ticket system at JoomlaBamboo.com?

And, can you let me know why I would need to create this ticket since all the information you are asking for is already at the top of this support request.

The information above is NOT for my live site which is broken. But, it is for my test site that is also broken in exactly the same way. I assumed you would want to figure it out first on the test site.

    Sean

    Hi Sean,

hmm good question - do you have the premium tickets options in your profile?

Yes, I do. I found that but every time I tried to create a ticket nothing happened.

hmm ok it might not be possible in that case
sorry for time wasted on this

I will follow up with the team on your problems

This is the other ticket that started this whole thing. I do appreciate the help.

    Sean

Paul, My apologies. I was just able to submit a ticket just now. Not sure why it was not doing anything before when I hit the submit button but it appears to be working now.

    Ticket has been submited
    Reference number is: #WXK-259208

I tried to open a ticket but it was instantly closed. I might have to just give up. Here is the reply I received. Is this typical JoomlArt service? It has been almost four weeks since I submitted the initial help request and no resolution to my issues. And, I have a broken web site:

    Hi

I see your two forum threads are still open. Please help to follow up in those two threads instead of opening a new ticket, it causes confusion to have multiple threads on same topic open at the same time.

Also the Ticket System is meant to be used by Developer members only. As you are Pro member, you should always use the forum at https://www.joomlart.com/forums/ for support.

Hope this clears things up. I'll close this ticket now.

sorry Sean i will ask them where we are with this

    5 days later

This was fixed in my other ticket. It took much longer than I am even close to comfortable with but the site is no longer seriously broken so I am grateful.

    Sean

Apologies Sean for the delay on fixing this

I'll mark this thread as closed but leave the other thread open
    Again apologies for the delay

    Cheers
    Paul
