JA Simpli migration

How do I go about migrating a site using JA Simpli? I zipped up the site, and edit the config file, but the site keeps referencing the old development url, and looses the logo?

Hi
If you are moving to another template to a new template JA Simpli,
First you need to install the template on your site and add the logo in template style options.
you also need to check the module position present in JA Simply so that you can change the module position of older module to publish them with JA Simply template.
Once everything is configured, you can set the JA Simpli template as default.

I suggest you to do this on a test site first, so you can see how it looks after changing the template.

Hi Pankaj,

I did a migration from 2.5 to 3 under a dev folder (ie www.site.com/dev). I then added the JA SImpli template, setup and configured everything.

When the site was finished, I zipped up the entire site, moved it to the root, and editted the configuration.php file. The problem is that logo disappeared on the live site, and when I tried to go to the Theme Customizer, it gave an error - it referenced the dev site.

If the path of the logo file is changed, kindly re-upload the logo on your site live site and it will work.

The problem is that I can't. When I move the files from the dev folder to the root, and go to the Theme Customizer it gives an error referencing the dev folder.

Could you share the site details of your staging site on which you have this issue?
You can assign a subdomain to the staging site and submit the site login details in first post of this thread (edit fields section)
