Hi, I am trying to use Gavik Image Show on my website which is using the Helix Ultimate template but I just get a spinning wheel. If I switch it to protostar I get the text but no image.
Any help please?

urbanj1 Hi
Can you add your admin and ftp details in edit fields in order for us to take closer look.
For reference, You can follow thread post (5 point) procedure.
urbanj1 Hi
To troubleshoot, You may check for the following :
1) Try to assign default template and thereon, assign specific module to one of available module positions in specific template for it to reflect
2) Try update specific module to latest version i.e.1.6.1 which can be downloaded and installed from here
3) Ensure that image folder/files are writable i.e. set to chmod 755 or 777 from which images are being fetched in specific module
Hi thanks
1) I have tried it on the protostar template. Nothing, just spinning wheel
2) Just updated, your site had 1.6.0 as a download yesterday but 1.6.1 does not work either, just spinning wheel
3) It is pulling images from the Joomla /images file which is already set to 755 and still we have the spinning wheel
urbanj1 You may check now on the site as I have changed the module style as seen in screenshot
Kindly ensure to clear your browser cache if changes dont reflect
Ah OK thank you for your help. I will have a go with the ones that work. Have a good weekend!
urbanj1 Hi. Maybe I'll be able to help understand the problem as old Gavick support member. Image Show is a very specific module, each of the styles were designed to work with one of gavick templates, which means that if for example template was made for an old template it is usig an old javascript library and may not work with newest versions. This is why only some of the styles will be working on none gavick templates.
Ah tht does sound about right. I will have a go with Jquery easy to see if I can get it working on older version but if you could report the bug to developers that would be great. It looks a brilliant module so it would be great to have it working out of the box with newer versions of template
Thanks again
