Hi,

I used your excellent Pulse template for years in a Joomla site.
I used too News Show Pro and News Highliter. I had such great experience with these stuff. I am thankful.

I’d like to continue using these 2 modules in their updated version. And perhaps I’d use their .json import option.
So I am wondering if you could advise me a Joomla extension that would be great to work with your modules to create the .json files and that could generate them with cron task (if no better option).
Do you know one?

    paul-sellis Hi. News Show Pro GK5 has a build in option to generate .json file with it's settings, so You can easily use same settings in different module of the same type. And I'm afraid this is the only purpose for that. It does not need cron to generate this file. Both modules uses database to generate content still. With a small exception for the NSP option where content can be delivered with file attached to a specific folder in module.

      OK I’ll see if I'll use .json

      In fact in the past I had customized mod_news_pro_gk1 to make it show Joomla articles, Virtuemart products and Eventlist Events in the very same carousel.
      The input id were customized depending if they were Product, Event or Joomla (no prefix)
      E1,E2,E4,171,P332,P333,134,E30,E25

      I have not opened the code files yet, but the actual News Show Pro version seem to be more complex to customize...
      So would you have some suggestions to show me the way or a clever manner to proceed?

        paul-sellis Hi. I'm afraid newest version of NSP is using same themes for any source. Which means that for example values for title will be overwritten depending form which source was selected. I bet there is a way, but I cannot think of anything not involving hours of codding. Maybe using 3 copes of a module and than fuzing it into one with some javascript (just a madman brainstorm).

        Anyway I'm afraid such work is a customization and we do not support that, so I will not be able to help 🙁
