Off-canvas not showing

Hi - I'm redeveloping this site in a sub-directory online, using the build.r template.

My problem is that the off canvas trigger is not showing on mobile phones so visitors have no access to the menu.

The trigger is showing on all other devices.

Can anyone see where I'm going wrong?

ianpanorton1 Hi. It's there, just hidden. Please attach an access to joomla panel so I'll try to figure out why.

Hi Ian,

Normally this means you don't have a mobile off canvas position added or the responsive menu option isn't configured properly

Hi Teitbite, thanks for getting back to me, and good to hear from you Paul! Hope everything is OK...

Paul is quite right, I had the responsive settings wrong, but I've sorted it now.

Only to give myself another headache. I want to change the colour of the button.

I've tried:

.btn, input.btn, input.button
{
background-color:green !important;
}

But it's not working for me. Any ideas what I'm missing?

Ah - found it:

.offcanvas-trigger a.btn, .offcanvas-trigger a.btn-empty
{background:green}

Hi Ian,

You should be able to change this in the template settings rather than add any custom css

If you want to add access details I can have a look but no worries if happy with what you have

One thing that worries me about changing settings in the template rather than custom.css - will I lose the changes if the template is updated?

As apparently seen, For settings to stay intact even after updating the template, You may try the suggestion provided here by Paul 🙂

Regardless, It is still suggested to take backup of your site before performing updates, in case rollback required whilst facing any issues e.t.c

hmm does seem to be a slight problem with this variable
So i'd suggest sticking with the custom.css option

Well the custom css is working so I'd suggest going with that
The button colour hasn't changed in the settings but as above I'd go with what you have now
