We dig deeper on this and realize that your server limits the POST / GET data size on the frontend--server/hosting often limits this value for security reason. And this cause 504 - Gateway timeout error whenever you publish the page. Could you pls contact your hosting provider and increase it a bit more?

Here is what my hosting support replied:

I was able to replicate the issue at my end while publishing one of the pages.

However checking the server logs I am not able to find any errors record indicating that this may be caused by a server side issue or providing any indication as to what exactly may be causing this.

For issues like this, we suggest that you consider contacting a professional third-party Joomla developer in order to resolve this issue for you.

Pls tell them to make a test on the frontend for an POST - just some hundreds of kilobytes, it will throws 504 - Gateway timeout error.

This post limit size usually be limited by the hosting used to process the form submission.

Hosting reply:

The JA Builder extension worked for 2 minutes and timed out again. I am afraid that the timeout limit cannot be increased more on our shared servers. It seems that JA Builder is broken or non-well optimized because 2 minutes should be enough for JA Builder to publish its data. Also note that certain PHP limits like max_execution_time, memory_limit, max_input_time, post_max_size etc. are set globally for the whole shared server and cannot be modified.

I would advise you or your developer to try optimizing the JA Builder extension and reduce its execution time. If such optimization is not possible and you really need to increase the account's timeout and PHP limits you should consider upgrading your account to our Cloud servers:

That's limitation of your hosting provider with that kind of server, I recommend you to upgrade your server account. I will share this with the developer team of JA Builder also.

I have a shared and powerful hosting plan for different sites, both Ja builder has issue. obvisouly your extension has issue. I built a few sites usng Ja builder, and I am so disappointed with it. I will no longer use Ja builder for my new sites, and start using other page builder. for the old sites, I have to keep them. so please fix the issue.

The problem is that your host limits the post size which prevents JA Builder from working. If possible, pls tell your host to increase that value a bit, it will work fine.

first of all, my builder page has only little content, so the page size is so small. second, the host said it's the extension issue

You can simply install JA Builder in local host (or another hosting) and make a test. It will work properly.
