HI Zeeshan,
We dont use any standard plugin for integration, its a complex custom integration in which we got Joomla integrated with Vbulletin, Yes, the user DB is maintained at VB rather than joomla and sign ups are handled by amember script and all is closely knit together.
For me, its way above my head to figure out.
