My name is Cosmin. Im interested in buying the Pro version of the Guru Component. Ive installed it and want to understand how it works. I have some questions:
- because I do not intend (for now) to use the Quizzes / Final Exams / Certificates features of the component, is there a way to make the "My Quizzes/Final Exams" and "My Certificates" tabs (links) disappear from the Users page?
- I do not intend to use the Kunena forum component to help the students. Is there a way to make the conversation area from the course interface disappear? I can see that in the back end / Kunana Forum / Lesson Comments Settings there is an option to forbid students to comment on lessons; I can not change the preset option ( Allow students to comment on lessons --> Yes )
- I can see that there is no specific URL for individual lessons but just one for the course. Is there a way to have individual URLs for lessons?
- I can see that the Video media has the option to be downloaded from within the lessons interface. Can this option be removed?
- I can see that by default both Students and Teachers get registered as the default Joomla Group "Registered" --> I suppose that the differentiation between Students and Teachers is made within the component itself ...; Does the registration process use the Joomla default system? I wonder if I can set up AcyMailling to place the registered students/teachers in specially created user mailing lists; AcyMailling seems to offer a plugin for Guru but this capability is not mentioned in the plugin's description.
- and finally the question: is the component well maintained and updated on a continuous basis? I ask you because there appear to be broken links ( Ex: From the back end interface / Help / Latest Version --> redirects to https://www.ijoomla.com/component/digistore/licenses/0?Itemid=0 with 404 error ).
