    Hi,

    While I understand that this is an alpha version I was disappointed with the inflexible search results. I am using a template JA Wall which prompted me to become a first-time subscriber to Joomlart. While the template is great there is not much you can do with it unless it has a functioning K2 Search and Filter component.

    So I have been patiently waiting for Joomlart to release a Joomla 2.5 compatible K2 Filter. While it needs polishing it does work. However, it does not work with a template like JA Wall. The search results should be bricks on the wall.

    So my question is to the developers. Will you make the search results compatible with JA Wall so that the search results are bricks on the Wall, rather than text? Or should I look elsewhere for a K2 Filter component that has more flexible search results?

    Please respond ASAP so I can find a solution.

    See attached.

    Hi renejdm

    For now, JA K2 filter results are based on com_search view, so it isn’t compatible with JA Wall.
    And we are considering the solution to change result view.

    It is alpha release and released only for users asking for 2.5 version. We have plans to update the extension and we shall do it over the months, till then it shall be alpha only and not supported.

    Thanks,

    Hi Do Ha,

    Thanks for your reply. I am disappointed in the ETA so I will look elsewhere for a solution.

    Rene,
    Please post if you find what you’re after elsewhere so we all can grab it while we wait for JA’s development

    Hi Shannon,

    For an example of how to filter your K2 directories with JA Wall, go to http://99petwalls.com/all-dogs

    On the left (sidebar) you will see a Dog Selector.

    There isn’t much content right now but apply the following filters:

    Size -> large
    Shedding -> average

    Play around with it!

    Unfortunately JA K2 Filter is not ready to work with JA Wall. However, Andrey Miasoedov (http://joomcar.net) took up the challenge and adapted his great K2 Filter and Search Module to work with JA Wall.

    Highly recommended!

    Rene
