I’ve upgraded to Joomla 1.5.12 and have noticed that when I change an existing article or create a new article <br /> keeps being added to the HTML, it’s creating layout issues… This is happening on a 1.5.9 and 1.5.11 template. Is this being caused by something simple that I am missing? Any ideas on what can I do to stop it?

the template does not care what version of joomla its on, the issue is with the tinyMCE editor upgrades made by .12

Ok thanks, I’ll check the Joomla forum.

In the meantime is there another editor that can be integrated that you would recommend?

    Quick update:

By the looks of the Joomla discussion this is an ongoing issue. I have temporarily solved it for myself by reverting back to a previous version of tinyMCE until they’ve sorted it out at Joomla. Seems to be working ok at the moment.

Thanks, I’ll investigate that one today.

Joomla released 1.5.13 to try to rectify the bugs but this still has problems with tinyMCE editor and media manager even with patches. I am using JCE as suggested by mj1256 with 1.5.13 but even this can still have problems. Joomla forum members say to wait until 1.5.14!

I would be interested to know how the 1.5.12 templates are doing…
