April 7, 2007 at 2:19 am #217410Hi ShannonN
I think mclaren is talking about the fact that the footer does not go all the way to the bottom of the screen on some pages & when the top news section has been closed.
I would also like to know how to fix this issue as it looks horrible when the footer is halfway up the screen.
Anyone have any suggestions?

ThanksI’d love to help but I can’t seem to recreate the problem, I been to your site Bill , it’s perfect (as i’d expect):) @john6555, screenshots are useless to diagnose from, If you can supply me a live url at east then i can go have a look. This may be one of the reasons no one has really taken time to look, no live url

April 8, 2007 at 11:33 pm #217496No live site to give you ATM. Believe it or not the problem exists. Try setting your screen resolution higher if possible, that is how you will notice the problem.

Lol ShannonN;)
It seems that you need a certain ammount of content to push the footer below a ceratin level where it stays put at the bottom. (don’t ask me why)When I posted my question on this problem, I didn’t have content posted. Now I do have content & it seems to be displaying just fine.
john6555 & mclaren
Try posting enough content to push the footer down.john6555 Friendjohn6555

Surely we just need to modify the CSS so the footer area matches the image? I can’t find where to change this though.HELP!

April 9, 2007 at 1:45 am #217501We have implemented the min-height for this template. However, for someone, that min-heigh is not enough 😉 . Please open the template css file (template_css.css), search following style:
#ja-content {
clear: both;
display: block;
height: 400px;
margin: 0;
padding: 0 20px 25px;
}html>body #ja-content {
height: auto;
min-height: 400px;
}
You could change the value in red above to whatever you want.john6555 Friendjohn6555

April 9, 2007 at 2:24 am #217505I just got rid of my two 22″ sony trinitron monitors, and picked up a Samsung SyncMaster 226bw wide screen (3000-1 Contrast great for graphics). I am planning on picking up a regular width monitor for previewing @ 800×600 & 1024×768. Anyway, I am running @ 1680×1050. and the footer goes to the bottom in my resolution. Thanks for pointing that out to me john6555, but how many users do you supose will be running at 1900×1200?
Now my question to Khanh Le is, if I change the height to 100% what will happen to the page if viewed @ 800×600 or 1024×768?
Thanks for the info Khanh Lee

April 9, 2007 at 2:49 am #217507I’m using a Dell Precision M90 laptop, and 1900×1200 is the standard resolution on this machine.
There are thousands of people in the world using M90s – and a lot of these folks are graphic artists, designers, etc. – as these laptops are designed for high-end multimedia applications and CAD use.
Anyway, obviously 1900×1200 is not standard, but it is something many people are using and IMO it should be supported.Thanks – john6555

You are right that all resolutions should be supported. I did not mean to insult you. I just did’nt consider laptop screens in my designs, but now I will. BTW I will look into that laptop model for when I decide to get one.:)
