Many browsers cannot understand the height 100%, therefore it is impossible to make the 100% height of a page by using css. The solution is only set a minimum height of your site, so you could choose a min-height which convince the most of your users. The best solution is orgnize your site and your content to avoid too short page.

    Khanh Le,
I don’t have that many links to fill the link page, or the other page that does not fill the browser window. I have set the min height to 600px which did the trick @ 1680×1050. I will have to check it with a lower resolution browser to see the effect, as well as the higher resolution of 1900×1200.
    Thanks

I just changed the css to 600px. Does the footer go all the way to the bottom now?
Thanks for having a higher resolution screen to test with;)

    BTW 100% did not work.</blockquote>

Your site is still appearing the same to me…
BTW, the M90s are nice laptops! 🙂

Please post your settings here when you discover the right height. The only thing I am worried about is how far the page will scroll @ a lower resolution if the height is set too beyond 600px.
I’m going to check out some reviews on the M90 tonight.
    Thanks.

best way is to use a transparent gif in the body and set it to tile vertically to a certain point to push the page down while there will be a bit of ‘white space ‘ it will hold the page or use a layer and set the div to 100% css recognizes divs

    Hmmm,
I should have thought of the “clear gif” as I have used it before, but I like the layer idea. It opens up the possibility for some interesting effects.
    Thanks ShannonN

NO worries Bill, I like layers, if used correctly can do a lot of cool stuff as you say effects like coloured backgrounds, rather than the suffix method that kills paddings etc

email me for a few samples and ideas I seem to remember a few tricks from the non joomla way of web design that you may find interesting 😀
