    Hello,

the system : Joomla 1.7.3, and JA NEX

The web site performs crazy(misplaced pictures, texts etc.) at 1024×768 screen resolution.

you could upgrade it to 2.5 and see if that solves it, changes to 2.5 included bug fixes I believe

Can you provide the url of the site you’re working on – so we can see what’s going on?

    Scilla:

The site appears to look as it should – even at 1024×768

However, I notice that your articles don’t have even titles and, therefore, they don’t have the same height.
Are you, perhaps, referring to this “displacement?”

It also doesn’t appear that your images have the correct aspect ratio. Therefore, they display with a different height as well.

You have to use an image that is
    – 490px wide (or more)
    – has the correct aspect ratio (landscape).

You can’t use an image that is a portrait for example and a width less than 490px.
You just have to know that the module doesn’t enlarge small photos in order to crop it correctly
    .

Try to take a big photo and do a little trial and error. You’ll get used to it
