I’m using the template JA Opal at http://www.cwstaging.com. I’ve managed to move the banner on top from the right side to the left. Now, I want to add another small banner next to the one that is currently there. Do I need to add another user position (hope not) or is it possible to have two banners running at the same time, next to each other, in the same position.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to set another banner in the same position, and setting the order to come before or after the current one, its just a question of seeing whether the banner appears next to the current one or underneath/above the current one.
Try it out, and if it’s the case, you may need to edit a few more files.
Module Manager -> New (top right) -> Banner -> Position: banner

That worked. Thanks so much.
However, the new banner is falling below the first one and I can’t seem to figure out how to move it to the top right. Do you have any suggestions?

That’s probably going to take editing something else beyond the CSS files (possibly editing the file responsible for template module positions – can’t remember which one that is!).
Beyond my current skill level I’m afraid.
Try submitting a support ticket and see what they say.
