I am working on a site using the T3 Blank template. Client wants to have a “member area” (this would just be a simple area that requires a user to be registered) with a different menu than what the Public group sees.

So for example, on the public side, you have a main nav menu, and all the public content pages. User can freely browse the site, nothing is hidden if assigned to the Public group.

Now, say we have a registered user. User logs in to the site using normal Jooomla! login routine. Once inside the site, I need to display a completely different menu to the (now logged in) registered user.

I cannot figure out how to duplicate the Mega Menu and only show one version of it to the Public, then one version of it for registered users.

Is this possible with base Joomla! and T3 Blank template?

    Thanks!

    Hi Bill,

On T3v2 templates, you can select the menu with Mega menu (Menu system) in the profiles which you assign to the menu items. Then, you need to set access permission level to each user group on in each menu item’s backend.

Note: You can create as many profiles as you want.

FANTASTIC!!! I figured it was possible, I think I was over thinking it 🙂

    Thanks so much!
