May 30, 2008 at 7:57 pm #129104I am trying to get this template installed on a site that was already up and running. I like this template better. I have it on the site, and so far so good, except for in the “your shopping cart” module, it says View Cart twice. one on top of the other. can someone tell me why it is doing this?
I am using Joomla! 1.0.1 and virtuemart 1.0.6
would give you the url, but i’m going to go back to the old template till i get this fixed….
oh, and it only appears to do it when I login. and sometimes it will even have three view carts??? is that view cart suppose to be something else for logged in users??
Also, my product slider will have blank spots right in the middle when it first loads, does not look good, and will repeat items right next to each other? anyone know why?
also, what does it mean by category in the module options? it says you can put a category ..i’ve tried putting the number of the categories in virtuemart..but its not working right.. if i put categories 1,2,4,5,6 – it is only showing category 6 ?? but if i only put 1, it says category empty, and it’s not.
thanks!!

May 31, 2008 at 5:00 am #251338Hi amlinc !
about “2 View Cart buttons ” i think that have problem with add to cart module of virtuemart 1.0.6 . Please send link of your site , I can check it for you !June 1, 2008 at 4:42 pm #251466I’m actually having the same problem with a test site I’m setting up to use to update my current site from Joomla 1.0.X/VirtueMart 1.0.X to Joomla 1.5/VirtueMart 1.1.
http://testbed2.karcoembroidery.com
When I add one item to the cart, part of my cart is blanked out until I click on another page. When I add something to my cart a second time, a second “View Cart” button appears. And now it appears to be stuck like that.
June 2, 2008 at 2:42 am #251499Ahh, interestingly, when I clicked “clear cart” during checkout, that solved my problem. I haven’t been able to reproduce it since though.

June 2, 2008 at 3:48 pm #251581http://www.apparel-liquidations.com
i think it might do it with even the template that is on there now too…
it seems that the top view cart button is suppose to be Your Details, or something, because when you click on it it goes to your account info…and the bottom one goes to your cart.
now when i login in as an admin..i have three. and the top one is takes you to the vm admin area?

June 3, 2008 at 7:48 pm #251775I don’t think so, what is that, and how do I do it?
I am using joomla 1.0.11 and VM 1.0.6
June 3, 2008 at 7:53 pm #2517771) Download and extract the JA Larix v1.2 for Joomla 1.5.x.zip file.
2) One of the folders extracted is called “Patch”. Navigate to this folder.
3) Open and extract the contents of the Patch VirtuMart 1.1.0 for JA Larix.zip file in the Patch folder.
4) Navigate to the extracted folder.
5) There will be a com_virtuemart folder and a readme.txt file inside. The readme.txt file says the following:1. Upload all com_virtuemart folder to yourjoomlasite/components/
2. Check and make sure the following file exist in your Joomla folder
Note: This patch is used for VirtueMart 1.1.0 stable for joomla 1.5. It has not been tested on other versions of VMamlinc Friendamlinc

June 10, 2008 at 8:20 pm #252936do i do this even if i’m not using joomla 1.5?
November 8, 2008 at 3:09 am #278526I have the same “two view cart buttons” problem.
Joomla 1.5, VM 1.1.2, JA Larix for Joomla 1.5v1.4
When there isn’t a product in the cart, the view cart button takes me to http://www.virtuemart.net
My first question would be … how do I make that take the user to their cart instead of the VM main page?
Secondly, after I add an item to cart, thats when the multiple view cart buttons appear. Please advise.
November 10, 2008 at 3:41 am #278662I really hope someone can help me with this multiple view cart button problem. Everything else is working great but this is obviously a deal breaker as it destroys the look and functionality of the shopping cart process.
If you add an item to cart, the minicart in the upper right puts another Add to Cart button up there. And the image breaks all over the place. Can someone help me?
