October 2, 2011 at 9:52 pm #169205Hello,
I actually have three questions which actually consist of one common problem: I can’t find which file the code I’m looking for is in.
The template I’m using is JA Rave 1.51) I’d like to remove the two buttons in JA Slideshow2 module to manually go through the slideshow. As far as I found out the names of two images are ‘icon-prev.png’ and ‘icon-next.png’. In which file can I remove them?
2) Basically the same as 1) but then for the JA Slideshow2 ‘highlight’ module. There are two round/white buttons there to manually go through the highlights which turn grey when you move the cursor over them. The images names are ‘white.jpg’ and ‘grey.jpg’. Here too: where can I find the file to remove them (or any other way to get rid of them, since I’m only using 1 highlight article at a time so I don’t need the slideshow bit)
3) At the bottom of the template, just above the copyright part, there’s a grey bar from left to right. Which image is this? I think it could be ‘line-footer.gif’ but then again… I might be mistaken. I hope I am actually, since this image is ‘locked’ in the image editing program I use (photoshop elements 8). Anyway… what I’d like to know is what image it is and in which file the code is which goes with it.
Greetz!

October 2, 2011 at 11:08 pm #416287Hey Tom,
I hadn’t come around to it yet, but I just did myself that favor and I I’m pretty pleased I did. It looks like an easy to use tool and will give it a try first thing after work tomorrow. I’ll let you know the outcome, but I think it could’ve saved me a lot of questions I’ve been asking here.
Thanks again man!!

I will… thanks!
I’ve been playing around with Firebug and – thanks to it – managed to find the file to delete the images. The only thing is: they have been replaced by text (‘Previous’ and ‘Next’) and for some reason I’m not able to figure out in what file the code is that goes with the text. I’ve looked in style.css, template.css and in mod_jaslideshow2.css.

October 5, 2011 at 1:24 am #416900I now managed to get rid off the black background behind the words ‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ in script.js, but after spending a few hours with Firebug I’m still not closer to remove the words itself … frustrating 😛 Any help will be appreciated (as always 🙂 ) and if possible, a small explanation on how you found it.

October 10, 2011 at 10:11 am #418159Thanks n6rej! I could use the update 😀
However did didn’t solve my problem. The navigator settings were already on ‘no’, but the text/buttons are still there. If you check out dierenbevrijding.nl/3dayz you can see the words ‘Previous’ and ‘Next both in both of the slideshows (‘the fine print’-slideshow and the image-slideshow, although it’s hard to see it in the latter).
I also tried the original code again (the one where it shows the navigation-buttons instead of the text), but that also didn’t help… meaning, if I set the navigator settings to ‘no’, the buttons still show in the frontend.
