I have installed fresh quickstart data and got the template right. But as compared to default joomla template this template takes lot of time to load the first homepage. Its almost 30 seconds to get first homepage with cache cleared and at 512kbps broadband speed.
Is this slow speed due to many java scripts or some plugines. I have other sites on the same hosting and server. But they load fast. How to improve speed of this template & joomla ?

Firebug addon (yslow) for firefox might help you track down the issue.
