    Dear Forum,
    I have the following problem:
When an unregistered user click on add new article button in the front end, he get the 403 page error.
Is it possible to redirect the non-logged user to the login page when they click the new article button?

(I know there are ways around it like a “fake” menu button, but it’s not ok for me since i have multiple buttons not only in the menu but also in module)

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Carlo,

By default in Joomla, it’s a must to login first before adding a new article from frontend: http://docs.joomla.org/How_to_create_an_article_from_the_front_end

BTW, which new article button are you referring to? Please tell me in details to have this button so that I can reproduce at my end.

    Thanks for your reply,
i know it’s a default procedure, the problem is that it may be confusing for the user to get the the 403 error when they try to create a new article if they aren’t registered yet. That’s why i wanted to know if it’s possible to redirect them if they are not logged

About the buttons there are a few in my website that are linked to the new article page

I can’t find these buttons, could you please tell me the steps to have this button so that I can reproduce at my end?

One button is in the home page http://www.atwork.roma.it, the green button called ” Proponi un tema”

When you click that button you get the 403 error because you can’t create a new article when you are not logged in.
But now it’s actually working, I no longer get the 403 but the login prompt message!
    !
    Last question:
Is it possible to redirect to my custom login page instead of using the default one?

I’m afraid that you must customize core function of Joomla or try with a 3rd party Joomla extension: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/site-access/login-redirect
