404 error, site inaccessible — HELP!!!

Hi gouaf,

If you are using Joomla 1.5x did you answer Yes to SEO Specifications (Administrator window)? I get the same error. Check, and Answer No. and see if you get your page back.

If the SEO Specifications is the problem, VisiGod has posted a potential solution to this. There might be other reasons that could trigger the above error message.

Could you expand more on this. I encounter the same problem sometimes but not sure exactly what is causing it.

The problem was, as he explained very well, I had accidentally deleted the com_content component. So I reinstalled it from the test site on my computer and my site is now back online!!!

The errors you showed here seems to be triggered in Joomla 1.5x-Teline or clean installation of Joomla 1.5x alone.
