    Ben
    Can you post this in the correct forum please like it’s likely to get overlooked in the general forum when there’s a specific JA wall forum
    Sure you want it too be noticed

    I am extremely disappointed with the quality and support of JoomlArt templates, JA Lens & JA Wall… I have tested the theme, and it
    doesnt even install the sample data while using Quick Launch, the new menu items of JA Lens are unable to be added without some kind of error.

    JA WALL wont even install, uploaded to two different hosting companies, used different settings for upload on my FileZilla http://FTP... and used the regular ftp from hosting file manager to make sure there wasnt some lame error of ascii or binary issue. Still no luck… Those that claim they have JA Wall installed on their systems, “HOW DID YOU INSTALL THE SAMPLE DATA?”
    The button doesnt not work, downloaded multiple times from JoomlArt, to make sure quick start wasnt corrupt, but still the same problems… :((>:(:((

    Hi Ben
    I have installed Wall from a quickstart both locallly (WAMP) and online at my Lunarpages Host without sample data problems
    First my host is a linux based on, its using the recommended php,sql apache version or better. Here’s what I do:

    I download from JA whatever current QS (Quickstart) version is available, believing this SHOULD be the latest & greatest. I go to my host & create a new database first, I fire up FileZilla and create a new folder called wall, I upload the UNEXPANDED zip to that empty folder.

    At my hosting cpanel, I go into my filemanager, navigate to the new qs zip file and using the extract button unzip the qs zip. I have found that its so much quicker to upload the zip and expand than expand locally and upload about a 20 min difference on my connection. Also there is less chance of any connection related corruption happening.

    From there, I install as you do normally via browser, acknowledging the request to install sample data at the correct time, it does take a while to add the data, so under no account get impatient and start clicking things it may fwd the installatation process but kill off the sample data install itself.

    At the end I choose to remove the installation folder and choose to start in the administrator area, as I can then set the site configuration parameters, while using the preview link to load the site in another tab.

    Again, note I’m on a Linux server, folder structures, permissions and ability to chmode may be different if you’re on a windows based host, I really hope this can offer some insight, it’s a bitch when you can’t get stuff working, I know
    Cheers Shannon

    Hi,
    @tfosnom
    Thank for your reply.
    @benbakerdesign
    Please make sure you read the guide here:
    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-wall-qa/

    Set your server configuration as we recommend on the guide and install your JAWall. You can do it on localhost WampServer. I can do it without problem. Please check again.

    For further, please send me your ftp access via PM so I can help you out.

    Hi, for your information please install the XAMPP that will help you in such problem.

    In my experience, Wampserver is a better product both form a functional POV and smaller footprint
