November 11, 2012 at 9:51 pm #182150I installed newer versions of joomshopping (3.4.0) and joomla CMS (2.5) on my local site and now I get a 500 error message when I select the products page of my site. I didn’t have this issue before I loaded the joomshopping component (version 3.4.0).
If I change the template setting in the joomshopping component to default instead of ja_tiris the 500 message goes away, but the products page layout doesn’t follow the tiris layout and is screwed up.
Is this a link, php issue?
Attached are screenshots of the 500 error message, the current live site page layout and the local site’s page layout when the components template setting is set on ‘default’.

November 12, 2012 at 3:33 am #472591Hi rud0lph,
Which version of JomShopping did you install? We released this JA Tiris template with the latest version 3.11.4 of JomShopping, please check and update it and let me know if the problem still persists.

November 12, 2012 at 7:45 am #472611I think you must be using a very old version of Tiris! JA fixed this problem back in Feb(?) with the release of an updated template.
Since then JS has updated to 3.11 so even more work has been needed to adjust the templates. I posted an updated version of the Tiris template HERE
JA have just issued an update for Tiris 3.11 HERE
So, if you update Tiris you should be good to update to JS version 3.11.2 at least.
Hope that helps

November 12, 2012 at 2:54 pm #472666Is this system wide default that allows JA to jump posts up the thread?

November 13, 2012 at 4:14 pm #472796I loaded the following revisions and the products page is working now. I just need to make a few style changes to the tiris shopping template.
Joomla CMS: 2.5.0
JA Tiris Shopping Template: 2.5.0
JoomShopping Component: 3.4.0I tried loading the Tiris shopping template version 3.11.2, but errors show up. Maybe I needed to upgrade the JS component for compatibility with 3.11.2?

November 13, 2012 at 4:41 pm #472798I would do an akeeba backup so that you preserve current state and then use JA Extension Manager to update T3, extensions, plugins, template, etc.
Then upgrade JS to 3.11.x. This has to be done in minor steps – you cannot afford to miss any. If you do you will get errors. A complete list of all the upgrade files are HERE
finally at the end install the new Tiris Joomshopping template and css from HEREThat should see you fine and up to date.
Also update your Joomla to 2.5.8 for security reasons. 🙂

November 13, 2012 at 4:48 pm #472800I tried updating the tiris template and it went back to the original tiris layout/design. If that is what I can expect then I can’t afford to do this – too many style changes.

November 13, 2012 at 4:54 pm #472802Any css changes you made to the templates will be overwritten, yes. Same with any changes you made in the JS templates. But if you save the original files i.e. where you made changes, it shouldn’t be too hard to do a DiffMerge to see what/where they are and drop the resultant files back in.
That’s how I would do it.
