Hi Guys,

I recently installed a JA template… on my front page, I have three rows of articles – can I separate these articles with a thin line? Just to show you what I mean, please refer to the attached examples. “Example1” has no lines, but in “Example2” each article is separated with a line…

I appreciate you help.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I am using the JA Nerine template… My website is not live yet, unfortunately…

Using JA Nerine as an example: http://www.joomlart.com/templates_demo.php?template=ja_nerine I would like to add a thin line between “Latest News” and “Business 2.0”, go across the page length…

Please let me know if I can provide more information.

Ok the thing is you show up here as a unlicenced member, wich means you are most likely using this template illegally as its for members only.

When you get this template from some warez site then it means you are stealing from joomlart. And you are risking legal actions until you have a valid licence for your website.

If you become a member and post your questions in the forum it belongs (not the public forum) then i will be more than welcome to help you out. But i cant and will not support stealing or illegal actions.

That is strong statement to make…. if I was stealing this template, I wouldn’t be on your forum asking you questions…. The website was developed by a webmaster/web designer, who has access to your developers’ package.

Now, I paid a certain fee to get the website developed, and the web designer will charge more for any additional features etc… so I came onto this forum to see if I can do this myself, but you’re not very welcoming!

While I can see your position, you will conceed that with your unlicensed status showing here and in a public area wrong conclusions can be made, best you get your developer to give you access to the correct forum area ( which he can do) and then there can be no confusion, piracy of JA templates is rife and sadly the only way to know you are dealing with a genuine buyer is to restrict access to registered users.

I’m sure you will understand this and get the access off your developer.

Im not saying that you are stealing, im saying there was a big chance that you where. Its sad but 9 out of 10 users who post in the public forum asking questions about a members template didnt get it in a legal way.

I will be welcome to help you with any questions that you have but can only do that in the right forum.

Its just a shame that a lot of creativity gets downloaded illegal these days (templates, mp3’s movies, programs you name it). And yes its true the ones that are doing the right thing are getting the bill for it.

I understand the problems you face, especially since your membership is not that expensive for the amount of good, quality work you get in return. In addition, I have recently started working on my own website (gaining help from web developers on the more technical side), and I would not like it if someone copied all my content, without consulting me.

I guess, it would have been better (from a relationship management point of view) to ask me how I got hold of the template before going into the “illegal” and “stealing” side… But I understand that you are in a difficult situation and I have no hard feelings about your comments.

Now, I initially got hold of the developer via the website:www.scriptlance.com/, but I have been having trouble getting in touch with the develper for the last couple of weeks… If I provide you the details of the project on scriptlance.com, with screenshots etc.. would you guys be able to give me access?

I think that when asked no-one would say well i downloaded it from a warez site as i cant be bothered to pay for it. Most people wouldnt give a honest answer.

Thats why its hard to find out. I understand the frustration this must cause to you.

The answer about illegal and stealing was more ment as a warning and informational as a lot of users dont realise they should pay for those. But i realise it sounded a bit harsh.

Keep in mind that i and shannon are not JA staff. I think that the only way you can get access is become a member or trough the developers account (as he/she can give you access). But would be best to send a mail to joomlart support as i think you get a answer faster that way.
