How may I insert a break in a article’s title to have the title in two rows?
I would like to have the article’s title in as following:

First row of title.
Second row of title.

When I insert <br> in title it works in preview but it disappears when I save the article.
Where must I modify the template to do it?

It’s not possible in default Joomla installation – HTML tags in article titles are removed before saving.

I found this article which proposes some hacking.

Also, found in Joomla forum another proposal – putting   instead of whitespaces in the second part of the title (which should be placed on the 2nd row), like:

I Want This Title To Show On Two Lines
