a few observations using different browsers
I like the new template very much, it looks very bright and friendly and has a lot of added functionality.
After installation I started to to fine tune the placement of the the installed modules and noticed a few differences in how the template shows in different browsers. I use Firefox 1.0.7, Opera 8.02 and IE7 beta3 and 6. The issues I found do not show when I use the JA_Altair_wide template. I published the template chooser module for those who would like to compare themselves. The JA_Altair_wide template looks messy because I rearranged modules to fit the JA Zibal template.
In Opera
– the header and the footer are not as wide as the center/body part of the page.
– Transmenu does not work, see option Googlre Earth and Extras
– when you change the color the url changes to http://shared3.ultrawhb.com/~dklaucke/joomla18/#color but return a blank page. The back button will give the page with the changed colorIn IE6 and 7
– the characters in the site show larger then in the other browsers.
– the page >Google Earth>Malaysia>Kuala Lumpur is not ajusted to the body whith, the other browsers do. I did not test other pages yet.Firefox 1.0.7
– when you change the color the url does not change but a blank page is returned. The back button will give the page with the changed colorThe url to my site is http://www.klaucke.net/default.htm, the site is redirected from a test site. I will later move the live domain name http://www.douweklaucke.nl to the new server.
Hope somebody can give me some clarification or solution to the issues I noticed.
