I’ve just found Purity template, and started setting up a new version of my web-site. I used JSN Boot Pro before for a friend’s site, and was a bit apprehensive at the start, but I prefer the Purity look, and so decided to not go with JSN’s free template.

However, one thing that JSN is perhaps more convenient about is that their PowerAdmin panel allows to see the map of page positions each time one wants to have a look where to place a model. And they provide all typography codes on a template.

Besides this I feel that the template management panel for Purity is much more advanced and a lot more convenient. And the template itself is looking better! Some complaints here are a bit unfair, but I suppose because it’s difficult to know each and every extension. For example, to place modules anywhere one should just install ModulesAnywhere by NoNumber and the job’s-a-good’n. Don’t think each template should attempt solving each and every issue – definitely not a free one, there is a lot of free stuff for Joomla anyway.

THANK YOU very much for your awesome template and I will try to contribute to this forum and spread the word!

    Hello,
Modules can be placed anywhere with ModulesAnywhere extension from NoNumber. And there is {loadposition} in Joomla, too.

Purity 3 is in most rankings like ‘top 10 joomla templates’ what makes Joomlart a great reputation. And most bigger joomla centers have actually free template they develop. Gantry has hydrogen, Themexpert has Expose 4 etc… but I used all of them and I like purity most. I think after you have so good reputation if might be worth creating some good extensions. Look how much money unite revolution slider made. Focus to make one best extensions of its kind and nobody will be able to compete with you. And after it’s best, sell extensions separately, not all in one pack.

Just a suggestion 🙂 Best wishes

I started using Joomla around 10 years ago and always built sites on Purity, until I had to build a large news site and discovered Teline 2. I still use Teline IV and V. I’ve just looked at Purity 3 and I might try using it for a couple of company sites I have to do over the next few weeks. I’m currently in love with Mono but a more traditional template might be quite relaxing 🙂

    Best of luck
    Tim

Hi, I’ve got into web development after retiring from work, and now develop web sites (for free) for charitable institutions. After looking around several technologies I settled on Joomla and then Purity III as a good responsive template, and have been really impressed.

So I just wanted to say that your good work in producing Purity III and making it available free is also helping charities, which are often rather strapped for cash, and in case want as much of the money going towards the good causes themselves.

So many thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi, Hung Dinh. Thank you for releasing this free template and please keep it going!

I’ve just starting using it on http://www.landbeach.org.uk after migrating from a Joomla 1.5 site that used the original JA Purity. So far I’m very pleased with the ability to customise the template to my needs, although I still have a lot to learn.

Good points: clean appearance, stability, more features than I will ever need.

Bad points: not many, but my least favourite bug is that the Custom Code feature doesn’t seem to work. I’ve been using custom.css to do my customisations instead.

Thanks for doing this. Much appreciated. Have you considered offering a method for people who use Purity III to make a small donation as a way of saying thanks?

I am a paying member and I would like to know when will JA be adding support for the ACM Module. I was using the module with Purity III before you updated it for Joomla 3.5.1 but after the update all my modules stopped working. And in order to adjust and get most of my effects back I had to buy Yootheme Widgetkit and uikit-modules.

This is how you lose members. Before doing anything I checked the forum, blog and document section. And it clearly stated that this ACM module would work with any JA Template that had Bootstrap 3 but only after building multi sites for myself and clients did I learn this template wasn’t compatible.

And while I would still like JA to add support for the ACM Module to this template I am starting to look beyond Joomlart for Templates and Extensions. Never want to be placed in a situation where I have duck a client call, because I depended on a module that should have worked or missed information being posted.

The forum seem to be full of bad posts and mis-information that always leads to time lost or money being wasted. I don’t believe it will take must to add support for the ACM module to this template… But since this is Joomlart a simple request could take years…

Purity III is by far the best Joomla template, as it is flexible, stable and solid, well structured and comes with all the latest Bootstrap Features right out of the box, so there is nearly no need to add various additional extensions.
If anyone is interested to know how to configure the latest (3.3.7) bootstrap version & thumbnail image Gallery version in modal mode to the latest Purity III template version, let me know. I finally managed to get it to work properly.

I really appreciate that you made this template available for the Joomla community.

It’s a great way to pay back for the incredible value that Joomla software provides you for your business.

Others, like myself, volunteer our time in the community by serving in many ways.

I have been a long-time member of Joomlart, renewing my subscriptions for both theme club and extensions.
I am still currently a JATC member, and will always continue to be, even though I stopped making websites consistently.

recently I have been tapped by a non-profit to make their website, and I chose Purity iii in case they choose someone else to handle their site in the future and don’t want to set it up for more costs to the organization if I can help it.

I do believe that maybe you could have some ‘donate’ button or something if people like your theme so much,… still free, but not as expensive as total access to all your themes. a happy medium?

Personally, I will always be a member even if I just make one site a year. I like all the access.

And the support!!??? second to none! LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

    Keep up the good work!
