Hi! All, I am trying ask a support question, there was another treat but nobody answers.
So I start new.
I am using Hot topic on my site domalaukums.lv like a poster list from different sections and categories, music announcements, seminars, and some other events which needs to be advertised. I have a problem with order. I canot understand how it orders articles. I think that right way should be show latest on top. But sometimes it puts oldest articles first, newest in the middle of list.
How to make it right? is it possible that Hot topic shows latest articles first. I could make a section for these articles , may be it is possible instead of categories define section?
Please help me to solve this, no way step back, website already have its readers.

I am fairly sure the Hot Topics shows the latest first. I made a separate category for these items. When I write an article in one category, I just copy to the category I made for the Hot Topics. Then when I don’t want it to show in Hot Topics anymore, I can delete it, but it is still in original category. Easiest way I found so far.

Yes it is some solution thanks, but it is good when peoples click on article they get into section where they sees other categories. Of course if there is not solution than I will do it. But how I understand Hot topic was specially designed for showing articles from different categories.

When I installed the Quickstart with all of the demo content, the Hot Topics had their own category. This is where I keep mine like I showed above.
It might be intended to pull from different categories, but the demo has them in one category… Hot Topics so that is what I did.
