    Dear mediazpteltd,

    pictorial guide for what? Please explain your problem and we might find some resources for you. To me it seems that you are new to Joomla!, If that is the case, you need to give yourself some time to know the basics about Joomla!, I did check the other thread you have created, it suggests that you are having difficulty in making joomla work for you.

    ya haha

    was working through the night trying to figure it out and got pissed off.
    i had been using some other web building tool before this so was kinda spoiled by it….the design here seems more dynamic so thought i would try it out.

    anyway kind of figured a few stuff out except for

    1. copyright removal 2nd step. i cant locate the file i was told to locate. The 1st step is done

    2. How do i edit this 2 portion in blue and remove the red portion as i do not want members login?

    3. i accidently deleted the red dotted line that separates the intro text how do i add it back? i tried copy n paste from other part but it doesnt work. what i get when i do so is this

    4. under the article antispam, it doesn’t open in a new page like the rest when i clicked on it from homepage

    5. what i type in the editor and what gets publish live is different.
    typed in editor

    shown

    last but not least the site is located at http://www.mediaz.com.sg

    Dear mediazpteltd,

    Well, now we both understand that you are new, not only to JoomlArt but also to Joomla!. You got to have patience and try to give us maximum info on your problems or questions. The more details, the more we would be able to help you with.

    Mr. Hau (JA Developer) is going to answer few of your questions above. I want you to read the Support Guidelines and now on try to put one question or related question in one thread only. Create new thread for your new of different problem. So that when we checkback or reply we can go question per question.

    Besides, it would be great if you check the tutorial section in our forum, that will give you tips on using templates on Joomla! and also keep in mind its just a template, the main settings are in the Joomla!, you may find it very handy to learn joomla! at the same time. Google is full of resources on it, good books are also available. Type down any of your difficulty in google and Yo, should get the answer. Thats how we learn, atleast i did 😛

    Hi you

    Please do your issues as my guider:

    – remove login:
    Open templatesja_ericaindex.php file, find following code:

    <a id="ja-hp-switch">Member Area</a>

    and remove

    – remove header backgound:

    Open templates/ja_erica/css/template.css file, find following code section:

    #ja-topsl {
    background: url(../images/topsl.gif) no-repeat left top;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    font-size: 200%;
    line-height: 1.4;
    height: 190px;
    }

    and remove or change to:

    #ja-topsl {
    color: #FFFFFF;
    font-size: 200%;
    line-height: 1.4;
    height: 190px;
    }

    – change the logo image

    Open templates/ja_erica/css/template.css file, find following code section:

    h1.logo a {
    width: 212px;
    float: left;
    display: block;
    background: url(../images/logo.png) no-repeat;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    text-indent: -5000px;
    height: 60px;
    outline: none;
    }

    here you can change logo.png to your logo name. Also, please make sure that your logo file is in templates/ja_erica/images folder

    – move email icon to the right of page
    Open templates/ja_erica/css/template.css file, at about line 653, find following code section:

    td.buttonheading {
    text-align:center;
    }

    and change to:

    td.buttonheading {

    }

    – remove the red dotted line :

    Open templates/ja_erica/css/template.css file, add following code to the end of file:

    .ja-newsitem-inner hr {
    display: none;
    }

    I prefer to wrap my hands around the base stand of my screen and choke it. It causes less damage and lasts longer than smashing it up.

    Dear Mediazpteltd,

    I can commiserate with you.

    This is no easy task.

    Joomla can do a LOT of stuff. It is very dynamic, and, therefore, complex.

    The good news is that it’s really popular so there’s a lot of information out there to help you learn.

    Here are a couple of books that I think will really be of benefit to you if you are planning to really get involved with Joomla:

    The Joomla Admin Manual: A Step by Step Guide to a Successful Website (Paperback)

    Joomla! For Dummies (Paperback)

    Both can be purchased through Amazon and you can get great deals on the books used.

    By the way, please don’t take offense to recommending a “for dummies” book. Not intended as an aspersion on your intelligence. Personally, I use the books, and like the way they are layed out. Very good for future reference (in my opinion). And they are pleasant reading, sprinkled with humor to make the reading easier.

    Hope this helps.

    – Pat

    Looks like you’re coming along fine.

    Please know we are all there with you! 🙂
