Hi friends,

I have accidentally update my joomla 1.5.14 to joomla 1.6 Alpha via magic uploader, now my database and joomla files have problem.

I know this is my mistake and I am so careless.

Is there anyone can help? I can’t even login to my joomla backend

dont you have the backup of the database before you began the update? if yes, you could possibly fix it

Yup, you are correctly, I have done this but the CD that I used to back can’t be read. I am so dead, two bad things happen together. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Hello Kent,

I have helped more people who had the same problem, most used a module to automatically update joomla and then the module saw 1.6 as the latest release.

Most of them ended up running ok again, if you like i can take a look at your site if you send me the required information.

Im at my normal dayjob at the moment but i will try to find some time this weekend.

If you managed to fix it already before that time then please let me know.
