Hi!

I’m trying to use AcePolls (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/contacts-and-feedback/polls/15777).

I assign the module to the main page, but when I click on its “view details” link, it brings me to an empty page.

This only happens, when the main page is assigned to the “Home” template profile (which is set to “Hide Main content block = yes).
Somehow, the poll result page (url path: /component/acepolls/poll/1-teszt-kerdes) inherits this setting from the main page (??).

I noticed, that I can assign profiles to components too, but AcePolls component doesn’t appear on the list of assignable components.

I’m sorry

but the problems described are not attributable to a malfunction of the template but rather the component you have installed

I think you should contact the developers of the component being more familiar with their product will advise you on how to best suit your needs

AcePolls can be used indeed, the trick is that you have to create a dummy menu item for each poll (preferably in a newly created dummy menu, which won’t appear anywhere). This menu item has to be “AcePolls->Single Poll” type, and its mandatory “Poll ID” setting has to match the same value that your AcePoll module has.

After this, the “View details” link in the poll module will automagically turn into the short link of this menu item, and results will show up properly.
