Solved. I edited the style-php and changed the code to:

you can have a fade instead of slide if you change the "carousel slide vertical" to "carousel carousel-fade"

but this should be in the module settings, there is a selection to fade the text , images should also be possible to fade and adjust the opacity and miliseconds…
