Hello everybody,

in the Sidebar Categorie the template have a change color mouse over effect.
Thats nice, but i miss a “Categrie active” effect. Thats easier for Website Visitor to recognize where it is.

I think thats is a nice add-on for the Template and anybody can help to implement.

I’m afraid I’m not quite getting what you are trying to do. It would be great if you can include the URL of your site and a illustrated screenshot highlighting what you would like to do. Otherwise, it’s like solving a puzzle without clue.

Excuse my poor description. I hope the following information to help you.
The site is currently private, if you want I send you via PM.

Navigate a user in a category the sidebar, this should be highlighted.
So As long is the user in category active, will the categorie is Highlighted.

I have checked from Unternehmensportrait submenu item in Profil menu and Unternehmensportrait 2, they are showing different link

Unternehmensportrait in Profil: yourdomain/office/index.php/profil/unternehmensportrait
Unternehmensportrait 2 in right menu yourdomain/office/index.php/unternehmensportrait-2

and you will see other module menu added in Profil menu item and it’s the same link with Unternehmensportrait 2 in right menu.

Please check it again. I will help you to add some css customization with the same link from both menus but not in different links.

Hello Ninja,

I use Joomla for the first time. The possibilities are very extensive. This result many questions in the first project.

I was not aware, for example, that I can implement a sidebar navigation via categories and menus.

DOMAIN / office / index.php / profile example was created with a sidebar Categorie.
DOMAIN / office / index.php / profile-2 I have created a sidebar menu. (This opportunity I have only found out later)

Who needs a navigation in the sidebar should use this as a menu.
It can be managed individual items, but also categories with several articles are well supported by the template.

Sidebar navigation menu as already support the highlighting of the active position. (This request was the reason for the thread)

I apologize for any inconvenience, my ignorance in configure Joomla have caused you unnecessary work.
Nevertheless, I very thanks for the support. It is good to know that helper like you exist.
