Although ad banners are activated for the col-mass1 position, they stopped displaying about a week ago on certain pages. Anyone have the same problem?

April 18, 2011 at 1:34 am #386756The ads in the screenshot marked “With Ads” is where the ad banner modules are working correctly.
http://www.theshorthorn.com/index.php/news/studentlifeThe ads modules should also be appearing on the next page. Screenshot marked “Without Ads” The modules on the right side of those pages inexplicably stopped working about a week and a half ago.
http://www.theshorthorn.com/index.php/news/universityIt’s also happening on these pages

April 18, 2011 at 7:05 am #386807I can see this issue due to menu item assignment not taking place for specific menu item as the menu isnt highlighted due to which the module assigned isnt showing
Try disable sef urls to see if it helps
April 19, 2011 at 12:47 am #387002Yes, that fixed the problem. However, can you think of an alternative solution? We would prefer to have sef urls.

This issue isnt relative to template but sef configuration. I would suggest you to try and use core joomla sef urls instead of using some 3rd party sef extension
Also, Please ensure to have it configured properly::
April 19, 2011 at 6:46 pm #387128We are using Joomla’s built-in SEF, not a 3rd party. Could you provide more information about the conflict, please?
I do not have access to the .htaccess file, however, I can ask our campus hosting representative to edit it if necessary.

Sef urls would work better with mod_rewrite turned on so Please enable it.
Also, I would suggest you to please post this in joomla.org forum as this is moreover relative to handling of joomla core function
