I want to add Alt Text to Email Button.
I am working in Blog Item in Template JA NEX 2.5
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
At the top of each item I would like to add “Tell a Friend” when I hover over Email Button.

I searched in item.php
<blockquote>/templates/ja_droid/html/com_k2/templates/ja_droid_blog/item.php</blockquote>

I’m not sure if this is the correct place to add alt text.
Also not clear on code to enter for alt text.

Do you mean this email button? http://prntscr.com/2m2p3e

If so, you can change it via language file. For example, if default language of your site is English, you open file: /language/en-GB/en-GB.ini and look for this text field:

JGLOBAL_EMAIL=”Email”

change it to:

JGLOBAL_EMAIL=”Tell a friend”

Then go to backend of your site > clean JAT3 cache.

Thanks for your help. I made the change but it doesn’t display any alt text.

I think the issue is it may be the wrong email button.
The email button I want the alt text on is found in the Blog Item(s).
– – – – – – – –
When you expand a Blog Item by clicking “Read More” the email icon appears at the top of the item.
When you click the email icon the link opens a pop-up window with a form. “Email this link to a friend”

Saguaros
Since the email icon I want the alt text on is in the K2 Blog I edited this file.
(en-GB.com_k2.ini)
EMAIL=”Email”
I change it to:
EMAIL=”Tell a friend”

Cleared cache but still no alt text on email icon.
