October 14, 2010 at 9:47 pm #155294I am using JA Portfolio. It has t3, I am slowly getting used to it.
I have a need to have a second main menu with the same features as the main nav, but placed under the slideshow.
I have no idea how to do this.
I do know how to add a block
I do know how to add a positionI don’t know how to add a second MAIN menu, with all the same features as the main menu.
Please help!
Thanks

Hi,
You are able to add plus a main navigation, but it will cause some conflicts in javascript with the original one.
Just open templates/ja_portfolio/core/etc/layouts/default.xml
Find and copy:
<block name=”mainnav” type=”mainnav” main-inner=”1″></block>
Parse after:
<block name=”slideshow” type=”modules” style=”raw”>slideshow</block>1 user says Thank You to Don Lee for this useful post

October 15, 2010 at 12:53 pm #359127Thank you for your quick reply!
I think maybe I was not clear enough. This second main menu would not =main_menu, but a different menu let’s say menu2_menu. The client wants more buttons under the slideshow. How can I target a different menu? If I use menu module, all I can get is legacy horizontal menu and it pulls css style for module not main nav.
Also, what js problems do you think will occur?
Will setting to css menu or any other menu besides megamenu avoid js issues?
Hopefully this makes better sense.
Thanks so very much!

November 1, 2010 at 8:59 pm #361339Hello, thank you so much. Unfortunately, I do not understand these params. I am using css menu, not mega. I need to figure this out as this is a big deal for my client. I probably have to hire someone to do this. Ugh!
Thanks so much again.
