The customer has requested labels underneath the menu icons on the left sidebar to make it easier for site visitors to find the menu button they need to click on. I saw somewhere else a thread on that topic, but it was talking about a JA Extended tab which I can’t find on my custom site.

    Hi

You can add menu label from Template Manager >> Megamenu >> Choose your menu from drop down and add yuor label text inside Item caption field

Those labels still only appear if I move the mouse over the menu. That’s too difficult for the visitor to find because the label is small and messed up with the main text on the right. The labels should be permanently underneath the icons.

Could you please look into this. The sidebar menu icons are not self-explanatory and not all site visitors are computer savvy enough to move the mouse above the menu to see the template labels. The clients would like to have permanent labels right below the icons.

Unfortunately this is the way T3 Framework for this is working, what you are asking is a customization of the structure of the t3 framework for menu labels ,

You could take a look at this page
