Hi,
Barite is a cool joomla1.5 template for general usage. I just wonder, how can I add new modul position for 728×90 banner like screenshot as below. Anyone help me about that?

March 5, 2008 at 1:07 pm #241343I have did something similar. A top menu with icon on there. Hopefully it is same. I will get my code and post it here. The changes are at my office’s pc… :p
Basically, I put a new DIV with same width of page (like 950px) then I make the content float to right….Thats all i think.)

March 6, 2008 at 2:42 am #241413Hi, what I did is try to have minimum changes. So I just use the default css there, which is ja-login. You can just create a new module and point to the “top” position. Thats all… Hope it works on yours. 🙂
In side template_css.css#ja-login {
display:block;
width:950px;
position: absolute;
text-align:right;
top: 10px;}
March 6, 2008 at 9:14 am #241441thank you for your interest mengfei. But I want to add new banner(red one) like in my screenshot
March 6, 2008 at 11:54 am #241455by the way, if we know who built the barite template, we could ask him how to do. do you know who?

by the way, I can provide to you a admin acoountMarch 7, 2008 at 10:24 am #241567I’m having hard time with this template modification. I sure would opt out the 728×90 banners if I knew it was this hard to mod a template in joomla. But I do want to use this template with 728×90 banner space. Should I try my chance at joomlalancer.com ?
If I can contact the guy who built the template at joomlart.com, I’m quite positive he can handle this in a minute. A number of people tried to help me out but unfortunately nobody came up with a decent solution.

March 7, 2008 at 11:08 am #241572Here you have a screenshot attached on how it looks like at my computer and updated files which you can just replace with the files in the templates folder. The 728 banner uses position “banner” and the banner below mainbody uses banner1 position. If you feel satisfied with this why not give me a donation instead of put it on Joomlancers?
