Hi,

When I install Daycounts Virtuemart preorder comonent it breaks the “Add to cart” function of the template. (It still adds to cart, but the modal popup is broken and shows a garbled window)
Installing the preorder component on a vanilla Virtuemart works very well, so it must be Hawkstore that has a problem I think.

I’m using the quick start package on Joomla 2.5.

What can I do to solve this problem?

Hi calavaro,

The Daycounts VM Preorder component is a separated Joomla extension which is not included in the both VM component installation and our JA Hawkstore template quickstart in general, so that it is hard to suggest you a completely correct answer. Anyways, would you mind sending this component via PM ? We will check it on our JA Hawkstore demo site, then back to you with the detailed solution on this conflict. Is it fine, calavaro ?

Hi calavaro,

Thank you for sending me the VM Pre-order component package. You are right, there is a conflict between this component with the VM modal popup which causes the product images not move to the VM cart module when users click on Add to cart. In addition, the VM Pre-order component has an error itself in the core file that also cause the Add to cart not work on Joomla default template.

In this case, we suggest you to raise a question for any advices on this problem at http://www.daycounts.com/forum/virtuemart-pre-orders. We will back to assist you if there are any issues with our template.
