I have spent many hours working on my Joomla 1.5 w/ VirtueMart website, and just noticed that none of my products have the ADD TO CART button. I am referring to the item detail page.

    Any ideas?

do you have a url we could look at (preferably the link to the actual item you’re having problems with)??

Same problem here, once I installed the product slideshow, my add to cart buttons disappeared.

professional-production.com Does the .css file override .css for the cart?

    Thanks for checking…

jrock, I took a look at your site and it looks like the Add to Cart button is where it is supposed to be now…would you mind sharing the solution with me? I”ve been having the same issue myself (installed directly from the Quickstart too).

    Thank you!

its an option in the module parameters and an option in virtue mart, make sure they are both enabled

Thanks mj, but could you be a little more specific about which option I should check out please?

I remember the day I was working on the site that I went and looked at all of the options and I was pretty sure that all of the ones that sounded like they would do the trick were turned on, so it’d be helpful to know which one exactly and I go back and double-check.

This isn’t on the homepage, since the JA module does show the Add to Cart button and it works fine, the problem is when I get to the item detail page, on that page it is not showing the add to cart button or the quantity box.

    Thanks!

OK, here’s how to solve the problem if the Virtuemart configuration is just fine and you’re tearing your hair trying to figure out what’s wrong: the template for Virtuemart may not have copied over all it’s files when installing the QuickStart.

Go back to your unzipped JA Mesolite folder, go into the Extensions folder, unzip the ja_vm_theme.zip file and them copy over the theme into the components/com_virtuemart_themes folder, overwriting the one currently there.

For example, in my case the includes folder of the product details template was missing completely, so there was no way that the Add to Cart button on the product details page could show because the file wasn’t there to include.
