November 23, 2006 at 7:36 am #211953To collapse right column on a specified page, you just only do not allow any modules showing on position top and right. Select which page a module is shown:

Yes, on my site all of the modules published in the Right position are only supposed to be published at the “mainmenu | Home” section as you can see from the image I’ve attached.

November 23, 2006 at 3:50 pm #211965In this case, the system understands that “Add to cart” page is sub page of Homepage. You should try to add a mainmenu item link to Virtuemart component.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by addin a mainmenu link.
FWIW it doesn’t only happen on the Add to Cart page. If I click on any product category or a product it does the same thing.
It the example I’ve attached ou’ll see that I clicked on Bags and Luggage and the right column is still visible. Then when I click on an item it is once again still displaying.

November 25, 2006 at 3:55 am #212003Did you try to add a mainmenu item linking to Virtuemart component? On our demo, the menu item “Products” links to Virtuemart component.

So it seens that I need to do things that defy reason to me 😉 .. I didn’t understand how just adding a menu item to the mainmenu would change the way clicking on product categories, product details, or add to carts..
I still don’t understand why it worked. All I know is that I added that to the mainmenu and now the right column does go collapse as I had wanted it to  .
This might be something to throw into the readme.txt file that comes with the package 😀
Thanks again for your help in solving this elusive problem.
