    Hi all,

I want to accomplish the following:

The site has 4 departments each department will have its own profile (background, logo and font color and so on)
I have created 4 profiles named:

    Photography
    Cosmetics
    Baby care
    Pharmacy

Now I would like to add ” ?profile=name_department ” to the url of the departments in the main menu (see screenshot) same for the shop categories menu.

The url will look like this (main menu):
    http://www.maherschemist.com/index.php/cosmetics?profile=name_department

    (category sub menu)

    http://www.maherschemist.com/index.php/shop/category/view/19?profile=name_department

I would like to know if anybody did something like this and/or how is a url compiled for the main menu and shop category.

    Thanks for your time,

    Rain

    Hi,

A better option to do this is to change the page assignment from the template settings. This way you can control which profile you can publish according to the selected menu item.

Please let me know if that helps you.

    Pscm,

Thanks for your reply, would you mind explaining this a bit more can I find this under “Template Manager: Edit Style” –> PROFILES?
I had a look but can’t really see where or how to do this.

    Thanks in advance,

    Regards,

    Sorry to bother again,

I thought all was working 🙁

The main menu is working fine all departments are changing there profile when clicked.
But the left menu isn’t this is the shop menu with it’s sub directories.

I created a new Menu called “Left Shop”
created a Menu Item called “photography”
Menu Item Type = Joomshopping –> shop
and so on just to be able to see it in the template settings, and I do see them in this I am able to select the Items and add a profile to it. But it will only change the first Menu Item to it’s profile all the other in the menu Left Shop don’t.

Hope it’s clear enough if so what am I doing wrong how can I attach the profiles to the left menu with all the sub dirs of the shop.

    Hi,

Please try to verify that you are using all the menu items that you need to set different profiles to, if you miss some then the default profile will be assigned to those.
