hi,
i am setting up dravity to see if my employer likes it. may end up using another … don’t know yet.

i have the site set as ‘down’ via the global management. i wanted my boss to be able to view the site so far, so i thought i could just create a user account and select ‘registered’ that she could just log into the front in by using the registered account.

this doesn’t work. the only way that she can log it to view the site is if i select the ‘super admistrator’ in her group.

is there another way to do this? i want the site to be off line while if am modifying, but i still would like her to log in and view what the site is looking like at any point and time.

You could just put a blank or “coming soon” index.html in the root so anyone passing by would just get that page. Then tell your employer to type in http://www.yoursitename.com/index.php

Thats what I usually do.
