I am trying to set a right side column on my single article pages and on the blog page. Currently the blog and article pages take up the whole page from left to right. I tried publishing modules to the right side of those pages but doesn’t work. Any ideas or fixes?

Have you assigned the pages for the modules to be displayed in the module edit page?

I went to the module edit and assigned checked the boxes to assign it to the article, article list, bog pages etc. but it doesn’t show. I am using Joomla 1.6.

Assign the module to all menu-items. Maybe that helps?

that worked, thanks! Hopefully it won’t go back once I start assigning and removing items from those pages and sections. One more thing, I am a new joomla users but learn fast, any suggestions for a free comment plugin for my article pages?
