I am using the terrific feature to add custom fields to JA Job Board! I have one field that I’m confused on how to make/configure (if it’s possible).
Upon registering, I would like users to agree to terms and conditions. The terms and conditions are quite long and are a document. It would ideally be best displayed with a link to another window/file to view document.
I see how to make all the different fields, even have Boolean “Yes/No” for “I agree to terms”, but not sure how to display the terms and conditions verbiage on the registration page or in a link. I’m not seeing anything that allows for text. The “Comments” command only shows a limited amount of characters.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Just wondering if I’ll have to do a workaround or have to customize the code.
Thank you!

September 28, 2010 at 4:20 am #356880Hi,
You can customize Register Form by adding one more field with field type = boolean.
Agree Term is used in ” Field example “, however, you must customize this text box field to text area field to input value.

June 8, 2011 at 12:09 am #395154here’s what I did:
1. In language file find the terms verbiage and replaced with html with links to terms & conditions
2. In CSS & templates (register forms) I made the padding and border 0 on line 311 so that there won’t be an empty box there. I didn’t take out the whole div that gets the terms verbiage in case I wanted to use it later.MC

June 8, 2011 at 8:04 am #395202Hi mcarbone,
The “Agree to Terms” option in register form is available in JAJobboard 1.5.1 already. You can try to download and use it today.

June 8, 2011 at 8:24 pm #395362Thank you, but I think hobokendiva was referring to a terms and conditions link (for example, to an article) as opposed to a window with the terms populated in the job board admin. (see screenshots)
I think the goal is to not dedicate so much real estate to the terms and conditions section, especially when they are so long.
I just looked at the demo admin for 1.5.1 in the described section, and I didn’t see an option for a T&C link.

June 9, 2011 at 8:10 am #395447Hi mcarbone,
JAJobboard doesn’t support to show checkbox with the term and condition link as you want. Please customize our template file to do that:

June 9, 2011 at 6:12 pm #395580Hi,
I was merely answering (contributing) to the question in post #1. If you see in post #3, I provided a solution (template edit) that helped me. Nonetheless, thank you for the attention and support.
