Hi all
While I know where to replace the default static favicon and it displays fine, a animated icon needs a different code to pull it up.

I see the generated code shows the path etc to the icon <link href=”/combompac/main/templates/ja_ores/favicon.ico” rel=”shortcut icon” type=”image/x-icon” />

My problem is even searching the most obvious places for the code that pulls the favicon and places in in the head section when code is generated ( head.php; default.php; parameters.ini) I cannot trace where the call comes from to change the code to pull the animated icon instead.

HELP! 🙂 Time to see if others have found the answer!

Dear uniquebiz,

You would never find out that code in the template becasue it is located in the CORE Joomla code,I think you just need to replace the default favicon file for template templatesja_oresfavicon.ico by your own file.
I think it is enough to help !
