Can you grab a screenshot to indicate which white section(s) in particular to which you want to add a background image?
Just want to make sure we’re on the same page. 😎Also, which Joomla version of this template are you using – J2.5, J3.0?

July 10, 2013 at 9:32 pm #498606From the joomlart demo, i am using the university template. There is a dark part at the top, and a gray region around the slide show, and then a white region around the main body. I actually want to alter the white body.
Please i have little knowledge and dont know how to create the screenshot.

July 10, 2013 at 9:36 pm #498607The problem is that the sections of the template to which you refer consist of several different elements – body, content, etc. To try to set up a uniform background image would be very tricky indeed. Not saying that it cannot be done … only that doing so will involve matching up images for several different section elements within the CSS.
What kind of background image are you wanting to use?

July 10, 2013 at 10:13 pm #498613So you just want to change the solid color from white to a light red?
I thought you were saying that you wanted to replace the white background with an actual image,
as opposed to a solid color. Please clarify

July 10, 2013 at 10:20 pm #498614My goal is to change the color. But i wanted to replace it with a solid image because i may be able to use the background image found in smashboard which is the background color i love. I can easily change the color if it is an image.
Overall, i simply want to achieve a color change
So if i can change the color to something like that red in smashboard, that will be ok

It is much easier to change the color property within the relative CSS rules for those sections than it is to try to correctly align images so that they display as one clean/continuous image.todhost Friendtodhost
