    I am using the JA Droid template for Joomla 1.6. The stock header logo is 302 px wide. I would like to add a logo that is approx 600px wide. I have added the larger logo and used Firebug to view the changed width, however I cannot figure out what changes need to be made for the logo to be centered.

    Please help!

    Many thanks.

    Hi, thanks for the reply. http://www.conciergefinancialoffice.com

    The header logo is 650px wide. As mentioned, using firebug, I can see the entire image by adjusting the image width. However, I cannot figure out what change needs to be made to the code to have the image centered.

    Thanks very much for your help.

    Dear dmason,

    It seems you have managed to get the logo centered. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Using JA Droid and would like to narrow the header backbround by half (so it takes up less space. I tried altering …css/template.css
    from #ja-header { background: url(../images/header-bg.jpg) repeat-x left top; }
    to #ja-header { background: url(../images/header-bg.jpg) repeat-x left top;height: 100px; }

    but it reduced the first page on Firefox but not on any subsequent pages or on IE 7 to 9.

    Can you please advise.

    As many of us know, Internet Explorer can be a real pain to deal with in terms of how it interprets CSS – as opposed to most other browsers that seem to consistently get it right. 😉

    In any case, one work-around method would be to insert your modified CSS into the IE7.css file (that I believe/hope was included with the JA Droid download files). As for IE9, you may need to create a custom stylesheet (e.g. IE9.css) and insert the appropriate code to direct IE9 browsers to call upon the particular IE9 css.

    (I will look for where you would need to insert this code and get back to you a.s.a.p.)

    Mind you, this is only the first possible work-around solution that came to mind.
    There may be others, which I will field with my fellow Support Team Members.

    Were you ever able to figure this out. I really need to fix this for some clients. It shows up correctly in FireFox, Chrome, Safari, but still IE8 and 9 are cutting off my larger logo. Please help! I have upgraded the 1.6 template to Joomla 2.5.3 and I was able to get it to show up a little better in IE7 but no luck with IE8 and 9. Please help!

    Working in FireFox, Safari, Chrome, (kind of working in IE7),
    Now working in IE8-9 (cuts off the right side of the logo)

    Thanks!

    Okay I think I fixed it. With IE7 I had to just make the h1.logo a width a little larger than my logo. The other ones were not displaying cocorrectly because of a bad file in the public_html/t3-assets folder. I deleted everything in there and I was able to fix it. I stumbled on this because even in firefox on a couple of pages it was cutting off the right side of my logo and when I inspected the element it showed the original 302 width. After I deleted all the files in t3-assets and reloaded the page it worked. This was strange because I am still development mode under the template settings. Oh well. I will remember this for the future. Thanks all for help.

    In development mode you must also make sure the css optimization is turned off.
